I have a 37 gallon reef tank. I am looking for a crab (with out a shell) that will crawl all over my live rock and not hide all the time. Does anyone have any suggestions.

I love my emerald crabs. They seem to be out all of the time, and do a great job of cleaning up in crevices of LR. CBS are also good, but dont put them in with other shrimp unless you have a larger tank

I dont agree with the arrow crab! They get agressive when they get big sometimes they are also a threat to smallerfish. They will also pick at small polyp soft corals. I have 2 Emeralds and I love to watch them! Their Hillairious! :D

Just getting my tank started (37gal)
i bought a anemone crab and a arrow crab among other inverts.. i bought the arrow crab because i read how they can help keep any pests down in the tank.
well i guess the arrow crab decided that the anemone crab is a pest, because my girlfriend woke up to find the arrow munching on the claws of the anemone.
he took both claws off the anemone and left the rest of the crab alive.
i dont know how long he is going to make it like this, sans claws.. but i doubt very long.
poor little bugger.
so scratch one thing off the list "things that the arrow crab will not eat"

Once emeralds get used to your tank's occupants they usually come out pretty frequently, but even then you might not see them "all the time". I think the occasional sighting is more fun than looking at them constantly anyway. :D
