some kind of macro algae bad?

The only ID I could get on this was that it is some kind of macro algae. is it bad?

I don't know what it is but I would say it isn't bad, unless it is aggressively spreading and crowding out other organisms.

I don't think it is bad...it should help remove the nitrates in your tank. It looks like a type of Dictyota species.

If its growing like a weed, its bad, if it's growing at an "OK" rate, its fine.

Yup, a "bad" macro is in the eye of the beholder.
If you like it and it grows relatively slow...good.
If you don't like it and it takes over the tank...bad.
But they are not "bad" in the sense that they will kill things or stuff
