LOL....Nice thing is that all the above corals (green palys - ArmgII's & Tubs) were GIVEN = FREE to me by another local reefer, AKA on swf as RHagemann. I kinda showed Rob some fragging techniques and he was really generous and gave me all the above frags....Thanks Rob!
In a week or two we're going to have a huge fragging party at my house and frag everything in my frag tank that's ready, I'm going to show him how to frag micros, blasto's and Acans. I'll load Rob up with a bunch of freebies, so it kinda evens out.......Whats weird is I don't understand why more reefers don't do more trades, I've seriously traded for probably 75% of whats in my tanks (thats why you don't see me selling stuff very often).
Some of the rarer stuff I purchased with the intent of growing them out and then trading, like my Micros, I spent big bucks on several 2 polyp micromussa frags, now I have a small forest of micros!! Some of those 2 polyp frags have grown into 25 polyps, that's some serious trading ammunition....... Kinda cool when somebody comes over and I just grab a bunch of stuff they don't have, tell them it's free and just ask them to return the favor.

Hey max, once my tank is up and running would you consider selling me a frag of that acan in the very first pic of this thread?
lol

Very nice pics and LOVE the first pic of your acan. And you are right, would HATE to be a mysis near that thing.

No problem......They grow like weeds, usually 2-3 polyps will expand into 6-12 polyps within a month or so....Just let me know when your ready

Wow thanks a lot. I am determined to have my tank cycling by the end of the month at the latest. How long do you think I should let the tank mature until its ready for acans? A couple months? How hearty are they?

Acans are fairly easy to keep, Don't rush your tank, let the cycle happen at it's own pace. I'd wait about 2-3 months to be on the safe side.

I'm actually camera illiterate, tried to set the white balance and got totally confused with what to do, so I gave up and never messed around with WB again.
As for the colors, I stage each coral, which means that I move the corals around inside the tank so that they have optimum lighting for the shot, sometimes it can take a day or so to actually get the correct shot. I also have several areas in my tank that are the "staging Area's" they have an unobstructed black background with no other corals to interfer with the shot, I take all the pics at eye level

I just got a new camera, and according to my dad the camera NUT, the reason some of my colors are off is because the white balance is off since most of these cameras are set to normal lighting conditions not the lighting conditions of our tanks and 10,000k bulbs.

I think what your supposed to do is go the WB metering area, set it to measure and then take a photo of an area of your tank or use a white balance card
