My shark has grown about 5 " in 10 months.. pretty fast. The miniatus generally stays in caves unless looking for food. This miniatus is extremely aggressive with new tankmates. Constantly picks at new fish if they are weaker (ie. foxface).

jcrim... ur tank is just flatout amazing... by far one of the best tanks ive ever seen ...awesome fish...how do u like the black sand? do fish ever get "lost" in it so like you can barely see them and does it bring out the color of the brighter fish??
-im thinking about getting the black sand

Thanks for all the compliments people. Treybomb, as you can see, my stingray blends into the sand. But this stingray was originally a pale beige color... it changed colors in my tank to camouflage with the sand. I don't think my fish get lost if I am looking at eye level with the tank. If you look down on the fish so the sand is the background, then darker fish may not show... but who looks at their tank like that? I tried to do a lighter background to offset the black sand. I like how it has turned out.

It's a 40 gallon fuge. I use miracle mud, lr and caulerpa in the refugium chamber. This skimmer is a seaclone 150 and I have another skimmer on the way that I'll add. There is also a jebo 36 watt sterilizer.

Can I live at your house?
Fabulous tank!
I'm planning out a tank with 2 eels and a porc.. and I've always loved rays & skates. I have a 220 Gal being offered to me for $400, but it's 60 x 24 x 36... Too tall and not long enough, IMO, so I'm going to take a pass on it. Is yours a 220 long? I'm horrible at gauging the dimensions! Also, in what order would you recommend stocking the tank once I'm at that point?
Thanks very much for any advice!

Sunburnt, my tank is not a 220 long, it is 72" x 24" x 30". Not the best dimensions for my fish but suitable. Eventually I am considering moving them into a 500-600 gallon pond.
Also, trey, my background is painted on. Much easier than dealing with paper backgrounds but the drawback is that you're pretty much stuck with the color. Thanks for the replies.
