SOME ONE TELL ME HOW MANY GALLONS MY TANK IS

i have just got a tank and the demensions are 9.1ft long 1.6 ft wide and 2.8ft tall. how many gallons is this tank.

that is it? i thought it might be something around 400 gallons cause the local fish stores 280 is 80 inches long which isn't near 9 ft

also look at hieght and width, it adds up

ill do the math,..........your tank is exactly...................................................305 gallons...lets say 300the formula to find out how many gallons your tank is is this:
-measuer the length, width and height in inches.
-multiply length by width by height
-Divide bt 231
EX: -Your tank is....109.2 in x 19.2in x 33.6 in.
-109.2x19.2x33.6= 70447.104
-70447.104/231= 304.9
-round to 305 gallons

Ps- some other formulas useful for everyone are:
1gallon=3.785 litres
1teaspoon= 5millilitres
1ounce= 29.6 millilitres
1 pound=0.45 killograms
1killogram=2.2 pounds
1ounce= 28.4 grams
1 inch=2.54 cm
1 foot- 0.3 meters
1 meter= 3.28 feet
-To convert fahernheit to centigrades:
..subtract 32 from the fahernheit temp.
..divide by 1.8
-To convert centigrade to fahrenheit
..Multipl the centigrade temp. by 1.8
..add 32

another handy equation is that there are 40 drops in a tea spoon. This info comes in handy when adding meds or other liquid to your tanks when the directions say "1 teaspoon per 10 gallons of water" and you are trying to dose just a few gallons
