awesome tank! just wondering... what type of filtration do you use?
Live rock and a tunze nano skimmer. Every now and then I'll run some carbon but only for a week at a time.

Funny you said that, I just got my frag tank set up today and that is going to be the first coral that I frag. I pretty excited. I'm going to post some pics tomorrow. Thank you for the nice comments.

Lets see some pics of that frag tank... I lost my canes while I was in Iraq and would be willing to trade for some of yours if I've got anything you dont.

The lens that I'm using is the Canon EF 24-70mm f/2.8L. The goby is a clown goby. I paid about $150 for the nano skimmer and I have an extra one if you are looking for one. Let me know.

OMG... thats crazy - I was about to look into upgrading our camera since your pics were so good but I think I'll hold off awhile if the lens alone is that much.
Whats a good budget macro lens and all around lens for cannon? If your pushing over a G for a lens I figure you may be partial to cannon and damn near an expert when it comes to photography. I'd love your recommendation on <$1000 setups that would provide general as well as macro shots.

I'm nowhere near an expert. One of my friends thats into photography suggest that lens for me and it works great. I want a dedicated lens for macro but I can't bring myself to spend anymore money on lens for a while. I do like Canon but I'm sure that Nikon is just as good. Check out bhphotovideo.com. They have really good prices.

Just looked into this lens in particular and it seems the general consensus is that this is THE lens to have for an all purpose shooting...

I can't say enough good things about it.
I should have the candycanes ready in a week or two if you're interested.

I just got a Canon XSi kit with the 18-55mm IS lens ($820) and a Sigma 105mm f/2.8 macro lens ($349).
I am satisfied with both lenses. If you're worried about the price, you could go with a XT or XTi. As you see the XTi takes awesome pictures too.
