Some random questions

Ok, here we go, a few random questions that I wonder...
1) Top Off Water - What do you recomend for SG and salt content of top off water? I have been using 4 gallons of fresh water and 1 gallon of salt mix. My thought is that salt doesnt evoporate like water so as water evoporates, salt stays. If the top off water is the same as teh tank water the SG adn the salt content will continue to increase... Am I correct?
2) Feeding Corals and Inverts... When is the best time to feed? Things like my Orange Dendro and others seem to open at night, should I be spot feeding with the lights off?
3) Using Zoo Max and similar zooplanktin suppliments... Should I be spot feeding with an eye dropper or just add teh recommended ammount to the tank? I get mixed instructions depending on the brand...
Thanks for the feedback.

Only use fresh water for top off water unless you are specifically trying to increase your salinity. You are correct the salt does not evaporate so there is no need to mix salt in your top off water.
I don't spot feed any of my corals so someone else will have to answer on those.

Am I correct? like reefer said you want to only top off with freshwater because like you thought the salt stays in the tank
2) Feeding Corals and Inverts... When is the best time to feed? 3) Using Zoo Max and similar zooplanktin suppliments... Should I be spot feeding with an eye dropper or just add teh recommended ammount to the tank? I get mixed instructions depending on the brand...Either way... you can spot feed which is waht i do but if you are feeling lazy that day you can just pour it right in the tank and let the circulation feed them
Thanks for the feedback.

hope this helps

Sometimes your hydrometer will throw your salt content off a bit. If the salt content in your tank is within good param then you can add salt water until you see it rise then obviously always add more ro then saltwater. Just dont go below 1.020.

Such corals as Dendro, Sun Coral those that are non-photosynthetic will usually not open during daylight hours. So yes when open feed.
Plankton. IMO. I woouldnt target feed. I dose the entire tank. You will end up overfeeding the entire tank by target feeding each individual coral.
And for plankton. Most popular is live Dr.G's. But plankton is plankton IMO again. lol. All on your preference and budget.
