What is the differnt between Marine hoppyist and a person with saltwater tank?
I answered:

Hoppyist:
Take resbonsibility of ANY lives in the tank (not just fishes)
Always take/think of advices and opinons.
Patience, dedicated.
Proper care and treatments(including and not litmited to nutritions, quarantine, understanding marine diseases etc.)
Person with Saltwater tank:
Think he can always replace any animals if he has money.
Ocean is so huge, they not gonna get depleted.
Dry food.
"I'll take care of it/them when I have time"

Good answer, Id say the same, but what if your both, Replacing what you lost( when you have the money), try to prevent it and cure the problem from happening again,Im a hobbist, I like most would who take pride in their tank and everything in it would agree, I hope there aren't many saltwater tank people out there, As you described, Peace

I think the key word mentioned above is "dedicated".

Hobbist >> has a mini ecosystem, a master peice, a creation that contains a part of their heart mind and soul.

If everyone was concerned about not depleting the ocean of it's inhabitants, they would not participate in this hobby. What are you gonna do, put it back where it came from when you're done with it?
