Do you mean...was dead but still eating someone, please help...or...still eating, someone please help?
I don't know but it does look like eggs. If it is still eating it has to be OK.
Do a search titled starfish diseases on the net and it will pull up some interesting articles. Most describe what is happening to yours.

Noticed your SG is 1.022. My understanding, starfish need a higher SG, between 1.024 and 1.026. I also recall Ph is critical, and should be at the 8.2 - 8.4 range, as stable as possible. Also, what is all that white stuff all over your tank? It's show caked on your filter input, it looks like snow.

Its not white stuff there air bubbles from my protien skimmer caught by the flash of the camera.
Does anyone actually know what it is???
I have kept my tank at that salt level for 3 years and my star has been fine for over a year...
I dont have a QT so I had to treat the water with some STOP parasite stuff do you think that it could be the cause for whatever that is

starfish are sensitive creatures. if you dosed your tank with some medication that you dont know what was in it, and that was meant to kill off small invertabrates, and other parasites, it could very well have poisoned of chemical burned the starfish. always keep a quarantine to avoid such dilemmas.

Can you make a QT out of a 10 gallon tank cause thats all I would have to work with

10 gallon tanks are a standard for QTs. obviously, the larger , the better. if you make one now, remember it will cycle which can easily kill invertabrates.
i dont know enough about stars to tell you its survivability. maybe ophiura can chime in here.

How do you make a QT can I just take water from my tank and fill the QT and a piece of rock too??? and then put anything I am gonna treat in there??? or should I start from scratch like I did when I originally Did with my tank??? New Sand?? New Live Rock??? and if I did then wouldent I have to aclimate everytime I switched tanks???

Before you move this star, PM Ophiura and ask her to take a look at this thread. She is our "star shark". There is info on how to set up a qt in the Common Treatments FAQ located at the top of the disease and treatment board.
