depends on what you have for fish, also if you just drop it in the tank, there is a good chance one of your fish will take a shot at it like its food, injuring or possibly killing it. when releasing small shrimp like that you can take a net (after acclimating) and scoop up the shrimp then move the net into your tank near some rocks and let the shrimp out there so it doesnt have to fall all the way to the bottom.
hows the changover to sand going? still doing that?

Oh yeah, I forgot to tell you. I did it last week. It went very well. My fish seem so much happier!! I was real cloudy for a couple hours but then everything was fine. I'm SO glad I did it, thanks :) Thanks for the advice on the shrimp, I will do what you suggested. I also just got a new skimmer....I should be getting it tomorrow. I went with the remora. That was $165 hahaha This thing is expensive!!!! Cant wait to see the bill when I decide to move to the 150 gal. hahaha..

You really should have researched this before getting the Anemone.
They require intense light and occational feedings of meaty seafood.

I forgot what you have for lighting but Bang Guy is absolutly correct they need really intense lighting to survive, without it they slowly die.
they will eat almost any kind of meaty food, like clam, shrimp, squid, whitefish, haddok. dont feed tuna or salmon they are too fatty and can crap up your tank really fast. make sure the foods are raw. some anemones will also eat pellet foods, my rock anemone does.
What kind of anemone did you get?
the only two anemone that I know that will survive in any light are aiptasia you dont want those, and tube anemone, tube anemone are nocturnal but they are also hunter killer anemone and can kill a decent size fish.

I DO have intense lighting, I spent $350 on my lighting lol. Its made from coralife its got 8 65 watt bulbs in it, 4 are like a floresant color. When I got my piece of coral, they gave me the correct lighting for it. At least I hope so...they sell all saltwater. They have been very helpful when I go in. I got a pink tip anenome. Will it eat frozen brine?

It will eat frozen brine but it's fairly void of nutrition. ReefkprZ gave an excellent list of food options.

So should I just go to the lfs and ask for that stuff? Also how do I feed it? just set the stuff next to it?

I go to the seafood counter at the grocery store.
Don't overfeed it. It can eat a LOT but the more you feed it the worse the water quality is going to be.
To Feed an anemone place a piece of food on the tentacles. If it doesn't stick, take the food out, the Anemone isn't hungry.

I am also wondering about anemone feeding. Should the food be frozen or can it be thawed? Would packaged frozen crab meat make good food for it? How often should they be fed? I plan on getting a bubble tip anemone.

the problem with crab meat is its all cooked. the only way to get it raw is to go get a crab and pull the meat out yourself, a nearly impossible thing to do unless you cook it. I avoid cooked foods. I honestly dont have any hard data to support why, I'm too hungover to find any. I just dont feed cooked foods, I dont trust them.
