something hairy eating my plate coral

24 gallon nanocube, reef tank, all parameters are fine, 1 year old. Have not introduced any new corals in 4 months - only thing that has been added is sea water that I buy from my LFS.
could not get a photo as it moves too fast but it looks like a multi-legged spider with hairs, about 1/2 inch long and have seen it twice - both times sitting on the hard part of my plate coral branches... the branches are being eroded/eaten away (which is what caused me to look at the coral very carefully - and noticed this "thing"). It really does look like a hairy spider but because it moves so quickly, I cannot tell if it is crab-like or worm-like. I checked my coral book and it might be a shrimp?
does anyone have a thought of what this thing might be and more importantly, how to catch it and get rid of it. what's even more curious is that it must have hitchhiked in the water since there is NOTHING younger than 4 months in my tank.
thanks,

Gorilla Crab? Is it bad? Just googled it and it says it's bad and will eat my corals. How do I catch it so I can give it away or just get it out of the tank?
