Ok guys and gals, I was just thinking? I been a member here for a little while and I do love this this board, but it is getting a little stagnant. Seems to be alot of the same questions coming up? I was wondering if there was anything we could do to spice up this board, some new fresh ideas. Just a thought? Maybe we can add some kind of section (Link ) that would permit local people to talk (communicate) with eacother? Any ideas?

Nobody has any input, no idea's? I guess I am the only one that was feeling this way? Well, me and a few of my other friends on this board?

Me and my friends were talking and I actually came up with it and they seemed to like it. Its nice to be able to contact and talk with people that would be in your surroundings and this way we could help eachother more....Please let me know how this turns out? Thanks for your time and consideration. ;)

I like that idea too Kip.
Something I've seen on different boards is a Forum dedicated to "non-typical" reef keeping. Although I cringe at the idea at least people entering the forum would realize that the ideas posted there are not standard and could hold some consequences.

I think there should be an archived forum .... sharks can move a thread or post into the archive (like all the coral of the week threads) and stuff like that .....
I even posted a thread on it a while back during the summer .... I think that board is in a valley moment now with the economy and students gettign ready for mid-terms and stuff

but yea i kinda like the idea of the forum dedicated to advanced reefkeeping and whatnot...

Kinda... But more for those that are interested in non-standard ways for what ever reason. It would give them a place to explore their ideas without being bombarded by people like me :D but at the same time it would or should be clear to newbies and others that those ideas are not standard and should be unitized with caution.

I knew we'd get some response outta people. I just thought it would be a fun, new, creative thing. Change is good, it keeps the board interesting for us that been here longer than others. I know this would take some careful planning, but nevertheless I think it would be a positive thing.

i liked a week or so ago when someone started a thread about "guessing the picture" fun things/games like that might make an interesting forum also. might sound silly to some, but it breaks the monotony :)

Contests are always cool. Tank of the month, photo contests, etc. That whole Free U-Build it package for the 100th post was cool also...

Some good ideas being kicked around(a few that have been tried and I doubt they'll be returned)...if ya'all come up with some sort of definite idea or suggestion I'll bring it up in the shark tank...no promises by any means but I will mention it. But you'll need a well developed idea or concept for me to propose.:cool:

i was gonna recommend that to cuz i vist THAT site too (but not as often as here) i think it is a great feature and there are so many beautiful tanks on this site!!!!
