Something on my LR

I've got something on my LR that pretty much just appeared out of nowhere, it almost looks like a teeny tiny cotton ball, about the size of the end of a q-tip. It's round and white and looks kind of fuzzy? It's been there for about 2weeks now and i have no idea what it is or where it came from. Could it be eggs? i have a blue damsel, watchman goby, a clown fish, a pistol shrimp and a sand sifting starfish. Any ideas??

i think it is a type of algae not positive though, i have a similar thing on one piece of LR thats been there for a few weeks. but it's brown/tan in color.

should I remove it? it doesn't look like it's grown onto the rock, it looks as if it's barely sitting on it.

You got it right sounds lika a q-tip sponge, harmless do a search on forum lots of info.

It's a Qtip sponge, a good sign that your tank is maturing nicely.
