I noticed a lot of worms that look like the tip of an ice cream cone growing on my live rocks. They are the shape of a swirl. Thats the best way I can describe it. I have a picture but it isn't that great. It looks like it might be a bad thing but I hope not because they are all over the place.

I have HUNDREDS of these in my 5 gallon, so I imagine others here have a lot more than me. Most of mine are dead/empty, but a few have feather dusters. The V. snail otherwise mentioned you would know because it puts out "co
ebs" or a net of mucous to snare food. I had some of those but they were fairly thick, like a match stick in diameter. I killed my v. snails with a toothpick.
Best of luck

They are harmless filter feeders. However, they can multiply rapidly. And when they feed, they cast out this web/string/net-like stuff. Some people don't mind them, but many find them a nuisance especially when they are in mass-porportions....like in my tank right now.

I haven't heard that but I know all our little critters can do funny things for some and none for others. Mine don't touch them.
