That wasn't a bristle worm that the oregon reef guy had in his tank...read the article.
Try enticing the creature out of his hiding spot and snap a picture of him. You'll probably get an ID real quick. :)

Ok...Im going in. Getting my snorkle on after school and diving in for that critter.Saw him come out again this morning and I saw at least 1.5 in of something dark brown. If you don't hear from me...the critter won!

Let us know what happens.It's one of my biggest fears to get one of those mantis shrimp in my tank.My husband thinks I'm being silly to worry about them but from what I have read on these threads those things sound like they could take me with no problem!!LOL :scared:

take the rock if its clean of corals and due a 5min freshwater dip that should get him out shake it when you put it in and then shake it when you take it out(be careful holding the rock)

I prefer a high salinity dip to a FW dip this will force any cristacean out of its hole to find a lower salinty plus its safe for the bacteria on the rock.
