Cal,
IT should be harmless and probably a bristle worm which is a good thing to have in there. I think most people agree on that today, where 5 years ago or so they were considered to be bad for a tank, go figure.
Anyhow... on moving and touching live rock, its a dang good idea to always wear gloves when working with the stuff. You never know what type of worms, bugs, corals, etc. could be on there and cause a sting.

From the looks of the LR, the rock seems to have come from the caribbean, ask the LFS where it came from. Caribbean LR have more "life" on them than do LR from the Pacific Ocean. But remember more life means more bad life too. Bristle worm can reach 12 inches or more in length and will eat corals as they grow so my advice is to get rid of the worms and replace with harmless sand sifters. Hermits, snails and serpent stars. Good Luck!

Dont listen to this, he has the right to his opinion but bristle worms will not eat corals. Many myths have come that they eat fish and inverts, but only when they are diseased and dying. I have seen bristle worms in tanks up to 24" ask other members on the board and you will see that they are a harmless creature in your tnak.

Definitely a bristle worm. But he looks like one of those thats going to get nasty one day. Evidenced by the type of bristles he has and his coloration. Keep an eye on him. He's going to get frikin huge one day :) For now he's harmless and a good cleaner.
