What?? That's when rap was great and not depdent on how many times the top 40 station plays your song in a 5 hour span. NWA, Biggie, 2pac, WuTang, Run- DMC etc, etc..... if it weren't for these guys Nelly wouldn't even exist as an artist.

How many times do you think Run DMCs version of Walk this way was played on the top 40 stations?
I can tell you it was alot -- so no matter what all musician are in it for the money if not they would pass and say no thank you i like to play my local bar and entertain my neighbors. And who can blame them for wanting a hit and not jsut being a One Hit Wonder with their next apperance being on VH1 - where are they now

it's a small world after all.....

I just HAVE to respond to this posting, to tell a story abut something that happened to a friend of mine while he was at Disneyland some years ago.
He was going through the "children of all lands" or whatever it's called, where the theme song is "It's A Small World After All." Anyway, something happened to the mechanics that move the boats through the mountain where the ride is located, and everything just STOPPED.....everything, that is, except the music. For approximately 45 minutes, they had to sit in the dark, listening to "It's A Small World After All....It's A Small, Small World!"
The friend said that, by the time they finally got off the ride, the whole group was ready to kill someone!!!!
