Wow, good, so I'm not alone then. They hyped it up soooo much...I'm feeling pretty let down. I've never seen Deadwood, but have been curious about it. Maybe I should buy the first season and see if I can get into it.

Absolutely horrible this season. It has no storyline at all. The show is finished. And to think they has 8 more episodes planned. They are really out of ideas. As for Six Feet Under, I never watched it but the show ended last year i believe. There was a series finale. I just dont remember when it was.

I'll agree that this season has not been that great. but it looks like Vito is coming back with a vengence.
I also agree that Deadwood is greatness.
a lesser known HBO gem that you all should check out is "The Wire". hands down the greatest cop drama that has ever graced the tv screen.....better than the The Shield.

The season started strong, then went sour. but yeah, last night was a good one though. I hate that Phil. I thought Sil and the other guy (Vito's replacement) were funny taking care of Phil's fat henchman. then when Tony comes in, the guy says, "Sil hit him first". lmao.

This season isnt that bad.You guys just want more blood. If you get into the story line you would enjoy it.What they did with Vito's character was genius. And paulie with his ma was also genius. If you need blood that badly watch the UFC.

'Sil hit him first' That was funny. I think this season has become The Godfather III. Very dreamy/philisophical. It has nothing to do with blood/violence for me. It's the lack of tension and "meat" of the storyline that we've all come to love. I don't think this season is a huge dissapointment, but I am a little let down. I do not see the "genius" in the Vito storyline or with Paulie's mom.

exactly. in every other season there was always a looming threat that something bad was just around the corner. there has been no such tension this season.

What are you talking about. The first three episode,Tony was on his death bed.And we all knoew they were going to kill off Vito at some point. This season isnt the best but i think its leading us to a great second half. And its better then last year.

exactly, something was going on in the first 3 episodes. that was 10 episodes ago. and yes, we also knew that Vito was probably going to die, so no big surprise. but the previous poster was right, there's this lack of tension. if you mean that it's better than last season, I'd respectfully disagree. the killing of Adrianna last year was probably the single most stunning moment in the history of the show.
