your talking about the stuff int he center of the pic right and not the green star polyps? at least i hope so. the pink thing in the center looks to be an encrusting sponge. these guys are found very frequently in the hobby but often live in places with ver littel to no direct light. a good sign of a mature tank, and a filter feeder, that does no harm. at least this is what it looks like. id touck it and see if its spongy, but that me, i like to "shake hands with my pets"
