Personally I'd try to get rid of the star polyps. I've found them to be more probematic as time goes by. I've done some pretty radical things to remove star polyps from my system, I'd love to find something that would eat them. From experience I've found brown star polyps to be constant stingers to other corals.

That is a palythoa, which is like a large zoanthid. You could try to use a razor knife to cut it off at the base. It may grow back though. You might consider gluing it down somewhere else. Some of them color up pretty nicely. Although your's looks like it may just be plain old brown.

It looks to me like a Protopalythoa, commonly called a Button Polyp.
It will be able to hold its ground against the Star polyps but It won't do any real damage to the colony.

Thank you, everyone! I forgot to tell you that the little thing cut my finger right open, when I was cleaning my tank. I really don't want to kill it, but I don't want anything getting cut by it. I need to get rid of it, thanks again for all the help!

I would doubt it cut you. It is a soft coral, there is nothing on it that could cut you. Although it may have stung you, and if you are allergic it can be quite painful.
