Well spring is in the air folks, coming kinda slow for us northern folks.
But once again I would like to ask each of you as you go out into the world for your lawn care needs and DIY projects to look and see if you can locate any of the tropical playsands in your area. This information can help so many that find it really difficult to locate these premium and cheap solutions to aquarium sands.
So if you have any sightings please post them for others to locate. Such as State, city or more specific location.
Thank you for your time in looking.

Yardright is what I used.
1/8mm is very fine> 1/256mm to 1/16mm is considered silt, and less that> 1/256mm is considered clay.
Southdown, yardright, oldcastle seems to mostly contains very fine to silt size particles, and maybe a few larger than 1/8mm.

thanks. i'm referencing Dr. Shimek's pie chart for setting up a dsb, and i wasn't sure exactly what portion it would fit into, but i was pretty sure it fell into the 1/8 mm to 1/16 mm category. there was a guy on another forum who was saying that it's larger than that. just trying to get a general consensus :D

Well there is no doubt that there is some larger particles in there and they will rise to the surface, after a few months it will become noticable, but still mostly what I said in the above posts.
