Hey everyone,
I was looking all over the internet for the sand by Southdown, but I jsut couldnt seem to find it. Does anyone know where I can buy it??

It's sold at Home Depot as "Tropical Play Sand". The bag has a red and blue graphic on it that says "from the Carribean" and it says it is silica free. That's the one you want.

Many of us old salts still call it southdown, however it is made by Old Castle now.
You may be able to find it under these names, Old Castle, Southdown or Yardright playsands. It is usually more plentiful in the spring time.
As was mentioned check your Home Depot stores.

I found a place that lists the home depot stores that sell them. And one place online but like my normal luck the place that has it online no longer has it. So now im asking Dose anyone know how mutch it would cost to ship about 50lbs of sand?

I bought some playsand from Home depot for my 75 gallon because live sand would have made me go bankrupt but anyways I bought 100 pounds it didn't have southdown, yardright, or oldcastle on it anywhere it looked really white and nice looking it was a pretty fine grade stuff but it didn't matter to me and the total cost was like 4 dollars pretty cheap I just bought 40lbs of live sand and covered it and everthing is fine.
