HD is the only place that carries it, and only some HDs stock it. Where are you located? Seems to be more common in the east. It took me a while to find it at my local HD because I was looking in the concrete section with the sand box sand... turns out Southdown was kept in the gardening department. Also, ask if your HD can order some for you.

i got mine at my local nursery/gardening store. it is also called yardright tropical play sand . its the exact same stuff, just a different bag.

This stuff is safe to put in a tank? What color is it? I'll be setting up a 180 and want to know if I can put a couple inches of this stuff on the bottom followed by a couple inches of LS .. Will this turn the dead sand into live sand?

yes its safe for the tank and only costs about $4.00 per 50 lb bag. if you seed it with live sand it will become live sand. its a nice white color too.
