Anyone in the Southern Illinois area?
I live in Mt Vernon, IL 6- 618 area code.
About 50 miles East of O'Fallon
Fairview Heights area.....

i work outta effingham bout an hour north of you. tank is in champaign bout 2 hours north. don't have anything to trade but figure i'd post and say hi

It is nice to talk to someone fairly close to me.
We dont have much Salt water fish, corals, etc in Mt Vernon.
I normally travel to Fairview Heights Il. to get what I need.
I am always looking for a beautiful healthy coral color anenomie.
Not sure what the name of it is, but it is brilliant in coral pink color.
If you ever some accross such a grand creature, let me know.

Just joined the forum today and saw your post. I'm excited to have the chance to meet people as interested in the hobby as I am. My kids think I am off my rocker LOL. Highland is about 35 min from fairview. I've had a 75 gal salt for about 2 years. Still alot to learn. But that half the dues we pay for this hobby. The other half is the big bucks$$$
Look forward to talking to many of the fine freaks like me

Hello there, I am in Salem. Although I am new to this hobby/addiction, and may not be too much help to you. I too shop in Fairview or in Effingham. Good to know there are others around here. Where else can I find good LFS?

Just wanted to say hi. I too am from So. IL. - West Frankfort to be exact. I haven't got my tank yet, so I'm not much help, but there is a pretty good LFS in Carbondale if you haven't checked it out. I haven't been to Fairview to check out anything yet, but will be in O'fallon this weekend to see my sister and may check out a shop or two.

You need to check out the store in O'Fallan.
It is great, I got my Anemonie there and it is very very healthy and growing like crazy
I am really looking for a rose anemonie, but no one has one.
Thinking about ordering online.
Good luck with your tank and let us know how you do.

Alot more Southern IL people, on here, than I thought there would be.
Glad to know I moved back to an area where there's at least some salt people. lol

I'll do that. Where is the place in O'fallon? And do you know if they have good prices on tanks?
