I'm done arguing...at least for a while. It's why I stepped out of the other 2 political threads. I figured a Charro quote would lighten the mood.

When 90 percent or better of the legal population speaks English as a first language I see no reason to consider adopting anything else.

May be 90% where you live. Come down to Texas, specifically in the southern portion of the state. Around San Antonio, it's probably 70/30 for English, and in some parts of town 80/20 for Spanish as the dominant language.

It's only in the barrios that are filled with illegal aliens. Get out of the ghettos and you start hearing and seeing pretty much all English again.
