minimum would be 1. you would have to find a solubility curve vs temp to find out the max.

To be on the safe side, I always make sure mine is at 1.024. Good for FOWLR or reef. I'm assuming you have a FOWLR so 1.020-1.025 is good. Reefs need it in the higher range.

I keep mine between 1.026-1.028

It is going to be a reef and the temperature is around 79F.

for a reef the minimum safe for inverts would be 1.024, max about 1.030
you dont want your SG fluctuating throught the whole range though. pick two numbers (usually around 1.025-1.026) and try to keep it stable.

My specific gravity is 1.027. Is that okay for a reef?

definitely, that's where I keep my reef. and I consider my reef fairly successful.
