spider webs

well im not talking about the gwen stefani song i just got done doing my weekly water change while i was at it i rearranged a couple of my rocks trying to improve circulation now that the water has cleared all up it appears that i have spider webs strungall over the rock i moved plus it appears to be spreading to the other end of the tank what are the little webs good or bad should i remove them????? i dont really like the looks of them

They will get reeled back in if they are the string of mucous cast out by the vermetid snail to catch flying detritus. The stuff will stick to it then the snail will pull it in and eat it. Follow a web to it's source, if it looks like a tiny stick then it's a vermetid snail. Very beneficial!
