Spidey's 75g RR build

I can already tell the huge difference lights can make. Our 55 is running with Current Orbit 4x96W PC's and the 75 has 2x175W + 2x96W actinics. I moved most of the corals over last night and they are absolutely gorgeous under the actinics. Goblin's Fire had colors in it that I didn't know existed, same goes for one of the rainbow's that I have. My Dunkan's head is almost twice the size it was in the 55 <faint> Absolutely awesome!!!
Now I just need a better camera to take pics!

Glad you guys are enjoying the build :)
I think diatoms are about to join my tank. I have 2 small spots, both in the end of the tank that are having a mild dusting on them. I know it's part of the process of a new tank, hopefully I can get it to stay mild :)

As long as you have good macroalgae growth in your refugium, it should stay relatively mild. Of course, mild is a relative term.

Hehe yeah! Anything less than what I had in the 55 is mild in my eyes. There is none on the glass, just a minor dust spots in 2 locations. That is the areas where the flow may not quite make it.

Diatoms have not gotten worse so I'm keeping my fingers crossed.
Updates:
Today I got a delivery from FLricordia with 1 Yuma and 6 medium sized Ricordia's. I had to hunt down the darn mail-woman. She didn't even knock on our door, just left a package slip to come and pick it up. I was able to hunt the driver down later in the afternoon and got to pick my package. I was slightly ticked off by her actions.
Friday we'll be receiving a controller unit to monitor both this and the 150 tank. Not sure yet if the distance between the 2 tanks is too much for running a single controller, but it is suited for multi-tank environments.
This is what we ordered

I can't wait to get my itchy little fingers around that and start programming it! I get overly excited about technology. Can you tell what I do for a living? hehe

I promise to take pics. Life takes over sometimes and I forget to take pics. Just about all my corals are moved over and I may move my clown couple over tonight. Nobody has died in the tank and water params are just about perfect there. Skimmer is already producing nice skimmate and there is hardly any bioload in the tank. A handful of large snails and hermits, goby/pistol pair and my corals (Yuma, 6 Rics, 2 hammers (neon and pink tip), large frogspawn, toadstool, Duncan, orange Cap, some mushrooms and a fairly good assortment of paly's.

Here are my first photos with the new camera!! I couldn't wait for the battery to fully charge and the MH's were already off so these are under full actinics. Don't laugh!

Got this brain today so it's still chillin out

My 2 Duncan's... not much yet, but will eventually

My beautiful frogspawn

Enjoy! I need to spend some time with this camera and get a tripod to get some really good shots.

OMG....where has this thread been hiding out at

Think you could give your racin' buddies a heads up? I just found it. I have not read thru it yet, but I'll be jumpin' in.

Sorry! I thought I did and Scotts found me right away :) Know you know where it is hehe. Spidey's 150 reef build will start next week. How am I going to remember to keep 2 threads updated? UGH

I just have not had the time to follow both of the build threads. Or at least time to comment on them. I am trying to follow both.

PS I got that rock from one of our LFS's for $15. I have no idea what it is, but under MH's it's has a light peach mouth, copper second ring, dark brown outer rim and bright orange skirt.

Very Nice Spidey

Tanks are so clean when new...wish they would stay that way. Plumbing looks great. Your pics look good. I can't seem to get anything to come out. When I shoot the inside of the tank, everything comes out either blueish green (looking like green algea everywhere) or brownish gray. At least you are pulling some color out.

:) Thanks! I owe all of that to my new camera. My old one either had everything blue and blur and using flash everything was so dark and shadowy. Now I can shoot just about everything (talking with 30 min experience) and things just seem to come out OK :)

DANG! I was going to ask what they were, cause I want some! Spidey those are AWESOME Zoas. All I've found for neon colors are green, green, green and more green under actinics (ok, my so called Armor of Gods are orange) but other than that green ~ ugg! Must have more colors!
Very Nice Pictures!
