i got loads of spirorbids all over my side of my aquarium and all over my filter good or bad?

I read they filter out water which is good and bad and also read they can clog a filter if you scrape those little suckers off

As long as they're not blocking anything, they're fine. They are common in new tanks, and will usually go away after a while.

I agree Polychate of the (family)Spirorbidae are generally just filter feeders, as long as they arent currently blocking passage into or out of pumps I wouldnt worry I have tons living in low light areas of my tanks including inside may of my powerheads, I dont mess with them unless they start to impede funtion which can happen like when they overgrow the plastic intake grids. then I just break/scrape them off the important areas and let them live everywhere else*.
(*you should see the inside of my protien skimmer)

yea, just a part of new tank syndrom. they went crazy in my old FOWLR, but i barely experienced any in my 30 reef. anyway, they dissapear within a few months. nothing to really worry about.

Are they on the parts under the rockwork, or out in the open, too? What are your water parameters, especially nitrates and phosphates?

Nothing to worry about, they are harmless, but it is kinda odd that you get a bloom of them with an established tank. Any major changes to the system in the past few weeks?
