Spirorbid worms

My seahorse tank is getting overrun with spirorbid worms. It is a 6 month old tank. I read on the hitchiker thread that they aren't harmful but is their anything I can do to bring the numbers down?

Their is a pic of them on the hitchiker thread. They look like little white curlycues on the glass and LR.

I'm pretty sure they won't hurt anything but I don't like the way they look and when I use my mag float they crunch.

I dont know how to keep them from coming back but I scrape them off every few weeks. The only seem to take hold in low flow areas (so a seahorse tank would be an ideal place for them to get out of hand.)

How long has your tank been running? Mine eventually dwindled down after a while. I had a ton in my aggressive when it was first set up three years ago. Now I may only have like three or four at one time.

It has been running for 6 months, never had any of the worms until I added some new LR about a month ago.
