splitting anemone

To my great surprise my anemone split into 2 on friday. Does anyone know approx how often they do this. I have had this one for approx 14 mths. Question #2: The anemone has pink tips, the tentacels and mouth area are teal color and the base is a skin tone color? I have never been able to identify it in any of my books!
Thanks in advance for your time.

Anemones will split often and clones of anemones (slipts) will have a better chance of living.

Sounds like a RBTA (rose bubble-tip anemone) to me. Mine gets a greenish/teal color on its oral disk every so often and the base color sounds about right.
How often they split would depend on a number of variables like lighting and water quality. It may take many more months to see another split.

Mine splits about twice a year. I started with one BTA which I added after my system was well, well established and now have 6. I give them away when possible since I don't want my reef over-run with them.
