Yikes,
I hadn't noticed until I took a really good look but it seems that a hazy kind of sponge is growing on my live rock and seems to be bothering myother corals. It looks like a coating over the liverock. i've heard that a purple nudibranch might help. ANY SUGGESTIONS!!!!

Do not get a nudibranch as once the sponges are eaten up, it will die. This is a creature best left in it's natural environment. Also, when it dies, it poisons the tank.
I never had personal experience with one, but have read many many posts on this.
other than that, I can't add anything to solve your problem. Other more experienced reefers may have a solution.

Can you post a picture of these sponges? Are they growing directly in the light? Generally, the sponges that we get on our live rock are beneficial, and grow in the darker areas of our tanks - many sponges don't like a lot of light.

if its bothering you then pull the rock out of the water and into the air for a little while. As long as it doesnt dry and its not a long time your coral should be fine. Sponges do not do well with air and should die off quickly. Thats how I got rid of mine when it began encrusting some of my zoos.
