Sponge tubes????

If I'm looking at the right things it's all part of the sponge. The tube like things bring water in and out of the sponge.

I dunno what it is, but I have the same thing in one spot on my tank. It's growing not on a sponge, but on some yellow encrusting coral (similar to carraline algae but the name escapes me right now). I want to know what it is too, cause I could never get a picture to show it lol.

Thanks....it is very hard to get a good pic since they are in caves or overhangs mostly...

what you are describing sounds like it could be a tunicate, they look very similar to teh pores of a sponge only they are solo creatures without the body mass of a sponge. try google imagine tunicate and see if any of the species of tunicates match what you have. this is just a guess as without a picture I am just shooting in the dark.
