Sponge ???

i know nothing about sponges i know that when i bought it the guy told me not to let it touch air so i did just that... now i look at it and its making bubbles... just wanted to know why, is it dieing???
 
if you have air bubbles in the tank, they sometimes stick to eveything it the tank. some of them probly just got stuck under the sponge. thats all. shouldn't be anything to worry about.

Well i dont have any air bubbles in the tank. what i notice was that there being made on the bottom of the sponge and then it comes out into the crush coral sand. its defently doing something because i keep removing the bubbles...

Hey All,
Sponges are lil animals living in a community sooner or later they need to release their toxins which look like air bubble to us.
There is a lot of different things which do this in the water, some fresh water plants if they are thriving will release a stream of bubbles into the water. Same with the sponges except these are the toxins they dont need... so I would not worry about it. I have seen it happening in the wild while diving.
