Argh, dont want to be on this forum again, lol, no offense! I was here last October and it didnt end well! I have a foxface in my tank. Just noticed a round raw looking spot on his side. Its small, about the size of a pin head. Looked thru the disease pics but couldnt find anything that looked like it. Unfortunately, the card on my camera isnt working, so I cant take a pic. Any ideas would be great. I only just noticed this 2 days ago, and I see a similar looking one on my sebae clowns head now. Thanks for the input.

Sorry I didnt list enough Sep. Spot looks fleshy with some red. It looks to me like a scrape, but round. I have 2 fish in the tank. The fox face and the sebae clown. It is a 70 ish gallon reef tank. Lots of live rock, 1 anenome. I first thought the spot on the clown fish could have possibly been caused by the foxface, but now not sure. Spot on the clown head also looks like a scrape, but not round like the fox faces. Besides the 2 fish, I have two very large bristle stars in the tank and a number of hermits. I would love to say I have snails, but the hermits killed them all. And yes, I do have shells for the hermits. They just like the snails! So I'm a little unsure as to what this is. Dont know if its bacterial....... where cause would come from...... Thanks for the help.

If it is fleshy then it is a wound of some kind. It could be from the rocks. If it gets red then it is infected and will need medication in a quarantine tank. For now, add vitamins to the food and keep an eye on it.

well I found my foxface dead when I came home today. It was nose first into the intake of one of my powerheads. I'm baffled. Dont know it would have been sucked into there. They are small powerheads simply for circulation. The fish has been doing well, the round spot appeared to getting better, fish was eating and out and about........
The sebaes head is also resolving. My guess is that these were abrasions.
