What will keep my sand VERY clean??? I know certain gobys sift sand all day...but they spit sand out all over the corals, dig tunnels and make a mess of the sand... I am looking for something that wont cover my clams, corals, etc with sand. Is there a certain type goby that cleans but doesnt trash the tank in the process?? Ive read about fighting conchs, I think they are good.. I have hermits, nass, and turbos also 2 limpets.

Diamond Goby will sift in place and really keep your sand spakling clean,, He does make tunnel houses though, but not enough to clapse anything or really bother me, GOLDEN HEAD SLEEPERS raise the sand really high THEN dump the sand at a high level.

I got two fighting conches that are doing great in my tank, but if your sand is "dirty" you need to look at WHY it is. If it's a new tank, the diatoms are normal and will go away. if you just upgraded your lights, the diatoms are normal and will go away. If you just added rock or sand, yadda yadda.
if you did none of these, then you should look at how old your lights are, look at how long you leave them on, and your feeding schedule.
