I built a spray bar from 1 inch pvc with 2 openings for my 120 gal long. I'm not happy with it,not a lot of pressure by the time it goes 60 inches & around my intake not a lot of pressure & in the way of live rock. I wondered what everybody else does? maybe just have the power head spray in back of the live rock? I'm using a maxi 900.

I use my spray bar to keep the top of the water moving. I didnt make it i just bought one. I believe its a Eheim. I did have to cut it a little to fit. My powerhead keeps everything else moving on the bottom.

i have a 120 gal, half cyclinder. I built a spray bar that runs against the back wall, at the bottom. with a power head in the upper corner attached to the spray bar, makes an L shape. works good to keep under the rocks cleaned out, i put the spray bar in first before the rock. I have a BB, thou..

a maxi900 only does 235 gph which isnt much u should get a high flow pump such as a rio hyper flow i have a riohyperflow10 in my tank and it puts out 660 gph i also use a spray bar which returns one of my fluval 404's on the top for top movment alont with a single return for my other fluval 404....
i also have a seico 1500 that does 1500 gph and another rio 1200 so i have at the most 30X's turnover in my 100 gallon reef but i dont have the rio hyper flow all the way open nor do i have the seico all the way open i think i have about 20X's turnover and it looks good lots of movement in the corals and anemone...
id say add a better powerhead and maybe a few more
