Spring Water?

I went to the fish store to get Fresh H20, and the guy said they only sell Spring Water, not RO/DI.
Is Spring water good for reef tanks?

It would really depend on the spring. I wouldn't use it without testing. You might want to see if they can test it there.

spring water contains a lot diffrent minerals and maybe metals in them. i would use distilled water before using spring water. my 2 cents

They charge 50 cents a gallon.

accidently put spring water in the tank instead of RO water--huge problems-- don't do it!!!!!

If you run 5 gallons of Poland Spring through an R/O you will only get 1 gallon of r/o water at best. Lots of Phosphates in most spring water as well as everything stated in previous posts. Use R/O.
