I really love these corals and inverts. I was wondering if I could keep some in my 29 gallon aquarium. I have 2 65watt PC's 1 10,000k and the other atinic. I also have a 20watt folresent tub that is 10,000k. I have 5 watts per gallon could I keep clams & sps corals??

See if a fellow hobbiest in your area has a frag of a Montipora digitata to try out. I've found it to be one of the heartier SPS. You can judge how other coral may fare based on the growth rate (or lack therof).
I would not try a clam.

I would never keep SPS's and clams under florecent lighting. All those pictures you see, with those giant sps's and maxima clams are mostly kept under 400 watt halides, not with florecent bulbs. Your SPS's might turn a dull brown after a month in your tank. This is from the zooxanthellae increasing to catch as much light as posible. I wouldn't do it, not unless you upgrade your lighting to halides. You might be able to get away with some low-light SPS corals such as hydnopora, Pavana, Birds nest, and some montipora varieties. For the most part, I wouldn't do it. Clams- you might be able to have a derasa clam. Note that the smaller ones don't use photosynthesis as much as the adults do, and wil filter feed. This includes clams under 4"
To repeat myself, I wouldn't go into them without halides. I'm not saying you can't keep them, but why keep them in anything but the best?

The lighting may be fine for a Derasa but it would quickly out grow a 29 gal.
