SPS Flow Question

During the time I have had to wait for my water parameters to get back on track, I have made some modifications to my tank. I have rebuilt my canopy and added Metal Halides so I will be able to have SPS in my tank. My question is how much flow do they need? I am currently running 4 Maxi Jet 400's in my 90 gallon tank along with the return from the sump. Will this be sufficient or will I need to add more power heads?

You may also want to look at the Seio brand, they move some serious water. I have an M2600 (2600gph) and an M1500 (1500gph) on my 125, but no SPS for me.

look into a closed loop system. 4-5 powerheads is a lot in 1 tank.
or go for 2 large tunzes if you have the money. like the 6080, or 6110.

Yeah, a guy at my LFS was telling me about those. Unfortunately, I would have to order them online. They only carry the Maxi Jets here.

im all about supporting local business' especially mom and pop stores, but if the prices are rediculous or they simply dont have what you want, then online is the way to go.

Look up the hydor koralia's for some more reasonably priced flow. 4x MJ400s are too direct a flow and certainly not enough in a 90. I have about 4100 gph in my 65.

get maxijet sure-flow mod for those 400... you get like 1600 gph out of them..they are prebuilt.. you just take the old housing out and put in the new propellar and housing and your done.. you will only need 2 but 3 would rock....

yeah.. imo that is the best bang for the buck if you already have MJ's.. if not then get the koralia k4 ( like $50)... those sure flow kits are like $20...
