The base is a light purple and the polyps are a bright powder blue. The discolored spots are from where it was under shade, it's been moved since.

Encrusting I agree. The bumps/craters are fairly consistent. I fragged it yesterday and moved to another tank to see if it's characteristics change.

I am stumped and I have 20 or so different types to look at. I called and left a message with a vendor of mine so that they can take a look at it in the morning. I am going to email the pic to them and see what they say.

Verrucosa has larger verrucae, but really you may never get a solid answer between the two until it grows into a larger colony.

I was going to say the same thing and wonder how long you have had it and if the base is still in color transition. I am stuck on saying what it could be.
