sps question does this seem right?

Salifert test kit.I use Ocean's blend but I hear the Kent MG is also good...and cheaper .

BTW...what are your tank inhabitants?
You don't have a clown goby by any chance?
I was just thinking maybe something is also bothering your corals that you are'nt seeing PE.

I think your temperature is too high especially if you have the sps nearer to the light. It happened to me and I couldnt figure out what it was either because other things looked fine- fish were fine parameters were fine. 82 is a little on the high side and directly below the lights it could peak hotter. Check the stores temperature also to see what they kept it at. SPS are tricky creatures, I almost gave up too but now I keep them at 75-78 and they are beautiful. It sucks when they start RTN I have tried fragging to save them but it usually didnt work. When I didnt have a chiller I froze quart jugs of water and just rotated them in the sump morn. to evening to keep temp down. I hope all goes well, Carrie

well i got ther temp down to 78 right now hoping that will do alright so far no loses since i've been trying to fix the magnesium levels and the temps been lowered... now if only the would just show some of there polyps i'd be happy hehe..

i ran out of alk test but on my test strips it's still coming up as ideal 300ppm... i'm picking up new test kit today... so far no more loses since i've moved the acros towards bottom of tank but still not seeing any polyp extension.

ok got mag up to where it needs to be found out my iodine was low also.. started doseing that and walaa things seem to be doing better for me also stable water temps now... got it sitting at 78-79 degrees and everything looks great... didn't realize my mh lights were still heating up the water that much.... me and my boss are building me a chiller for my tank. is stainless steel ok to use in saltwater. if no one knows i'll make a new thread to try and find the right answers. thanks for the help
