I have a few colonies that look like they are resessing and I was wondering this, when corals usually bleach or die they turn white and dont have any polyp extentions right? The ones that i have looks to be the tips are resessiing and but the polyps are still out it is kind of wierd. What could be the culprit? They have been in my tank for well over 8 months and have grown tremendously. Could this be due to flat worms? I dont have red bug, I treated for that about 3 months ago. Any suggestions?

Well come to think of it I just did add some fresh phosphate sponge in my reactor, but I was running that before. Other then that no. Parameters are normal. I changed bulbs in January and everything that has a problem was in the tank when I changed the bulbs. I did do a 10 gallon water change. A bit over 10 percent but not really that much. The new stuff is doing great its just a few of my older corals that are not doing so good.

Could be a resurgence of RB .I don"t know man,I feel your pain though.Have you tried running some carbon and or WC?
Ive just recently started keeping SPS and i know it drives me nuts to see one RTN ,STNor being munched on by some Nudi.
Have you put any new livestock in the tank.Maybe somethings nipping .Possible chem.warfare? Any leathers or something of that nature?

Well I just started to run carbon in a reactor, I was just running it in a high flow area, I just did a water change. I just ordered some lugols and hopefully I find that there is a stupid little flat worm or something. I just need an answer. But everything else looks awsome polyp extention is awsome and all. Ill keep you updated.
