Good info to have about curing the tank before filling it... I assume that its only necessary in large thicknesses?

It becomes more important when dealing with thicknesses over 1". Any tank would benefit from a longer cure time but it takes longer for a thicker tank to cure because you are dealing with more material. A lot of the seasoning time depends on the humidity and the temperature of the environment the tank cures in.
