SQUIDD: ideas for a 65 gallon sump/fuge??

well im thinking of using a 65 gallon glass aquarium for my sump/fuge, i am going to have an internal pump (mag drive 36) and a euroreef RS-250 skimmer which requires 12"x14" of sump space. got any ideas? oh the tank is going to be a reef ready 220 gallon with dual overflows. thank you very much

main tank is going to be a 220 reef ready, i cant go with a basement set upit is going to be behind the tank, and i plan on either using a 65 or 75 gallon sump/fuge with submersible pump

i think i am going to do a 75, i thought the same thing about the 65 being a 36" tank, i was going to do a 55 but that wont be wide enough for the skimmers i am looking at

Yep...So you pretty much have the layouts from the other two threads...just need to make a little "adjustment" in the skimmer chamber for slightly larger footprint...
Keep it as narrow as possible, leave center section as is and you will loose a "little" room from the fuge, but...that's what you get with that skimmer...

You have the basic layout,(return to center) now you just need to "fine tune" it to fit the equipment and get the most out of the available space...
Lotta "white" unused space there...do backwash calcs to figure what is really needed and raise baffles to keep more water in sump and fuge...
By doing so first baffle sets skimmer depth, as skimmers tend to run in the 9" or less range it's often a good idea to raise on shelf (along with first baffle to raise water level over return pump...
Also raise fuge to max usable volume to maximize potential..
