Can you please give me a little more detail? We're going out of town for 3 days next week and I have that bucket in your picture with the lid. I'm not quite sure that the black thing is. Is that an air pump?
I have an adjustable flow valve, tubing and the bucket. I need to top off the return tank on my wet/dry.

The "black thing" is a Kent's "Float Valve" (others make them as well) and is "generally" used to stop flow when filling a storage tub off your RO...
You can find them "on-line" easy enough ...they run about $15-$18
Water is gravity fed from bucket to "valve" where the "float" maintains water level...
