is it ok if i use those all glass aquarium hood/light combo ? its a 4 foot long light but i am going to keep LR in there, no reef. Thanks

All I know is that if you do not want to keep any reef or corals, you're fine with a regular 15 watts fluorescent bulb. The live rock should be fine with that lighting. But if you want to get let say anemones you cannot use that type of lighting. I hope that helps a little

That type of hood will be fine,but I would suggest you look for some better bulbs for it.Say like a 50/50,or a 10,000 or 20,000k bulb.With these better bulbs even live rock will show better growth than with the original bulbs...

Go to Home Depot and get G.E. Ultra Daylight Bulbs. They cost about 5 bucks each and are 6500k very nice bulbs for 25% of what LFS lights cost.
