Standard MH ballast and AB bulb?

Anyone know if a standard MH ballast will fire an AB bulb?

depends on what you mean by "standard" ....my standard PFO will.

I am really not sure what ballast it is. It's about 8 years old. It might be made by Hamilton.

If its a Hamilton it might be a pusle start ballast....if so that's a good thing

Open it up and look for names and numbers....

mac.....thanks for the help once again. I am currently on vacation but I will open it up as soon as I get home. All I can tell you now is that the ballast is a big black box and originally came with a bell shaped pendant that hung over the tank. I have since modified it to my needs.
