I received some star polyps on Thursday from a seller on a certain bidding site. How long should they take to open?

It depends on how shocked they are from transport and getting used to the new home...no more than a week, they are pretty hardy. Put them on a good spot and leave them alone.

Ok will try... they only shipped overnight in the same state. I temp acclimated them and they are mid-level in my 90gal.

mine took about 4 days to start to open and now 1 year later they are growing crazy.

it can take anywhere from 1-5 days. it does grow like crazy and can kill any corals adjacent to it by growing over them!

Will it grow on the back glass if I place the rock they are on butted up against it?

I have a couple of yellow polyps that were given to me for free that climbed off the plug and onto the back of my aquarium. I hope they spread and grow there

the star polyps are almost all open

now, I need to let them settle a little bit and then will move them away from my palys.
