starfish loosing legs HELP!!!

ok here is the dael I have two stars and both are getting eaten alive. By what?
I have a clownfish a three stripe damsil and a bicolor dottiback crabs snails and bristle worms HELP!!!

Did you just recently get these stars?

Unfortunatley it sounds like they are dying. Most starfish simply dissolve when they die leaving many to think it's being eatin.

No I've had these stars foe a while now like one a year and the other for 6-7 mths. I went on and flushed the serpent star he did'nt have a leg to stand on. The other should recover checked levels all good.

I just went through the same problem...I have a serpent star, orange serpent star and a green brittle star. My green star's legs dissolved one by one...I tested my parameters and found nothing out of whack...so I thought...I took a sample to my fish store and had them run the reef tests and compare them with my tests and come to find out my calcium was 600

....my test read 420 ...I would definitely check your Calcium and Phosphates...My Ca test was faulty and they replaced it for free...unfortunately not before I lost my "Hulkster"
